Today, the day before I graduate... i successfully finished the 50 things list! This has been an exciting adventure for me! It's done a lot of things, putting me out of my comfort zone, taking risks, and making new friendships. It's also made it so i like to live a little more random, try new foods, new things, new places... just for the fun of it! I'm excited to make new goals and ideas down the road.. for now i am so thankful for what this has taught me, and the fun i've had along the way. Thank you to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who helped me with this... you have all been wonderful helping me accomplish these things.. lots of you taking risks or getting out of your comfort zone with me! Thank you especially to my family for putting up with my craziness while trying to get these accomplished. Everyone, I truly could not have done it without you! thank you so so much!!!! Thanks for following along with me on my great adventure :)

#18- Ride a four-wheeler
Jordin took me riding today! We couldn't get a picture on it together since we were alone... but it was a good time! and a GREAT way to end my 50 things :):)
#29- Sleep outside- under the stars
Lilie and I slept outside last night! The original plan was to sleep in a sleeping bag, in the grass... but due to the fact that I did this last minute and I had sore throat and cold and im supposed to sing tomorrow, we didn't want to make me any more sick. So we bundled up on the porch together :) It was nice waking up to the birds singing and the breeze on my face!
#19- Make a speech in front of a group of people
On Thursday, I made a speech in front of the girls at Huntington Beauty College.. I talked about the difference between guys and girls, how guys view us, and how we help them in the way we act and dress. Seems like the girls enjoyed it and found it very beneficial. I had a couple people ask me further questions and ask to borrow books from me on the subject after. Thank you to the guys that filled out the survey I took to get more info! it was very helpful :]

#17- Ride a horse
This one took me a while to get done! Lots of people either got rid of their horses or were busy. But, my neighbors helped me out right before they go out of town. So this is their horse, Reggie. Since it was so last minute we didn't have time to saddle up and go for a real "ride".. but i got it done and it was fun :)

#38- Jog a mile on our road
I have decided, even though I really already knew this:
Either running is not my thing... I am just not in shape. Or both.
It was nice though.. I've always lived in the country, so jogging just as spring is arriving, listening to my ipod and smelling the cow poop, may not sound great to you. but besides my burning lungs.... i enjoyed myself :)
#35- Complete a page of random math problems
I completed a page of addition problems printed from the Math-U-See website. Who said it had to be hard? :)

#25- Tell a cheesy joke to a random stranger. #16- Buy a gift for a complete stranger.
At the Regional TBQ meet this weekend, I bought a quiz interview book. A couple girls went with me.. I walked up to a random kid and said "Hey I have a joke... how much does a polar bear weigh?" he looked at me like I was crazy and just laughed and said he didn't know. I said "Enough to break the ice! I'm Christie, want a book?" and I handed him the book and asked him what his name was and said "nice to meet you!" and we all laughed and walked away.. it was a good laugh :)
#45- Play in the rain
I so wish I could have gotten a better picture! But today in Indy we went to Castleton Square Mall. Apparently this number of my 50 was pretty popular 'cuz I got multiple texts from friends telling me it was raining outside.. haha. so on our way out, i figured now was my chance.. it front of bunches of people waiting under umbrellas along the side i go play in the rain! People looked at me like i was crazy, but it was a good time. This picture is pretty early on, but i was really soaked by the end.. sometime in the future, i will play in the rain again. bare feet and dancing, with all the time in the world :) this was fun.

#23- volunteer at a life center.
So, this is HOPE center in Ft Wayne. Hope and Life Center's are the same thing really.. this was a good experience! I packaged diapers, stocked shelves with them, washed off baby toys, took out trash, ran errands, counted donation items. things like that :) Since I wasn't a regular volunteer with training and everything I obviously didn't work with the clients. But, i'm glad I got to be of help to them!

#26- Give teddy bears to children in the Cancer Center
This was the most touching thing yet. I literally cried while leaving the hospital. These kids i gave them to ranged from ages 4-16. Some of them as alive and happy as ever, with smiles on their faces. Some, with no expression in their eyes as they lay in the hospital bed hooked up to machines and IVs. All facing the same problem.. Cancer. As i visited each one I got more and more compelled to do something more. One of the people thats had the biggest impact on my life, used to tell me "Find out what breaks your heart, and go do it" Well, I have found it. I will most definitely be going back.
While I was in there I got to visit my nurses that I see every time i'm in for a diabetes checkup and I told them all what I was doing. They loved seeing me and hearing about whats going on. After we were done giving teddy bears in the Clinic, we went up to the Pediatric center where the kids having treatment stay the night. I almost cried when I walked in there too. Because I got to visit a kid in the same room I stayed in when I went in 3 years ago and found out I had diabetes. It was all such a great time of being thankful for everything I have, and seeing that these kids are going through so much more than I could dream of... and I want to help. If it didn't require so much Chemistry, maybe i'd be a nurse. But, for now I'm going to find out how I can help in any way possible.
I wish I had pictures of me and the kids.. But I went by myself on this one so had no one to take them for me. But, the pictures are in my mind at least.. :)

#24- Donate toys to a children’s organization
Today we visited Vernon Manor Children's home in Wabash.. this was one of my favorite experiences yet. I donated some stuffed animals to them. A lot of the kids weren't very responsive, but many of them felt the fur on the animals and their faces lit up :) I wish I would have gotten more pictures of their responses, but we tried not to draw too much attention to the camera..
this was my favorite! after donating all of them, we had one left.. this child was the most responsive and most touching. after I handed him the stuffed monkey he grabbed onto it and started smiling really big. then i got down closer and he pout his hand out and gave me a high 5! It was so much fun :)

#2- Cut down a tree
I tried it with an ax first, but my arms hurt so bad from climbing yesterday that I couldn't do it!
So i tried the chain saw :) Dad helped me a little bit.
I got half through this one then it got stuck, so dad finished it. Then I did another small one all the way through!
